From the Ground Up

I hate it when people ask me if I care about the environment because I invariably end up sounding like a jerk. First I explain that 99% of the time when people say ‘the environment’ they are using the word wrong. ‘The environment’ is an outmoded and scientifically ignorant term, because the environment and humanity are not separate. The environment includes everything - every single atom of this planet and what’s on it. Obviously I care about the planet. It’s where I keep my stuff.
